Waupaca Area Model Railroaders Ltd is a
non-profit educational organization dedicated to promoting family values through
–

Model
Railroading (teaching skills in layout construction, wiring and controls,
scenery, and proto-typical operation) to members, their families and educating
the community about a great family activity.
·
Displaying
their operating portable layout (14’ & 50’) at malls and model railroad
conventions (called meets). The
club has displayed this layout at the National Model Railroad Association
National Convention in Denver, Colorado, and Madison, Wisconsin, and various
cities throughout Wisconsin (including Waupaca, Stevens Point, Green Bay,
Appleton, Milwaukee, Plymouth, La Crosse, Eau Claire).
Other out of state displays include Menomonee, Michigan and Winona,
Minnesota.

Restoration
of an early 1900’s Duluth, Messabe & Iron Range Caboose
·
Restoration
of a baggage car from the Waupaca Electric Railway.
This car and its pictorial history have been displayed at many community
events locally (including parades) and loaned to neighboring communities for
their festivals or events.

Awarding
an annual scholarship to a graduating Waupaca High School Senior for use in
pursuing a higher education.
